Missouri Man Arrested Following Comments About Mass Shootings
A central Missouri man from Rocky Mount man has been arrested for making terroristic threats stemming from last weekend’s mass shootings.
The Morgan County Sheriff says Wilbur Marr entered the county library in Versailles to ask why the flags were at half-staff. When told it was in honor of the shooting victims in El Paso and Dayton, Marr commented that the shooter in El Paso “did us a favor.” Library employees say Marr then spent the next hour researching articles on the El Paso killings, and become irate when he couldn’t find the shooter’s manifesto published online. The employees felt uncomfortable with the situation and called law enforcement.
Marr is charged with a second-degree terrorist threat. He has also been ordered to stay out of Walmart, the Versailles City Park and the Morgan County library.
