Blown Tire Leads To Drug Arrest

A blown tire on the interstate led to an SUV slamming into the back of a semi, and one passenger facing drug charges. The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells News Talk KZRG the semi was trying to make it to the shoulder of I-44 Sunday afternoon when 46-year-old Darin Link of Joplin didn’t realize how slow the truck was moving and smashed into the back of it.

His passenger, 44-year-old Rachael Lasley of Joplin, sustained serious injuries and was also caught with meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. She’s facing drug charges.

Link was uninjured.

The semi driver, 23-year-old Cristian Rojas of Los Angeles, was uninjured.
