Bats subject of program at Walter Woods

What is the only flying mammal in the Show-Me State?

The answer is: The bat!

“Batty for Bats” will be presented at the Walter Woods Conservation Area, 7129 Dutch Elm Drive. It will be presented by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

The program will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 12. It’s open to people of all ages. Presenters will discuss bat lifestyle, common misconceptions and the value of bats.

Participants also will go outside and look for bats.

The class is offered free of charge, and no registration is required.
