Green Giant Recall

Your fresh veggies could be contaminated with listeria. Green Giant is recalling packaged butternut squash, cauliflower, and zucchini and a butternut squash bowls.

The vegetables were packaged at a Growers Express production facility in Biddeford, Maine and sold under several brand names including Green Giant, Trader Joe’s and Signature Farms, according to the FDA.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections. Growers Express stopped production after the Massachusetts Department of Health was notified about a positive sample. There have been no reported illnesses.

Green Giant canned and frozen food are not affected.

Most of the items have a “Best If Used By” date of June 26 – June 29, 2019. If you have any of the recalled items throw them away.

Consumers can also call the toll-free number on each package of food to request a refund or if they have questions.
