Shots Fired Following ANOTHER Child Custody Dispute
There was another shooting in southwest Missouri over a child custody dispute. This time it was in Stella and two people are recovering from gunshot wounds. Sheriff Chris Jennings tells News Talk KZRG a 27-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, showed up at a house on Terrier Road around 4:30 Sunday afternoon demanding his child. The father then threatened 34-year-old Joshua Roller and shots were exchanged between the two.
Roller received wounds from a handgun to his lower extremities. He was transported to Freeman Hospital. The 27 year old suffered wounds from a shotgun in his upper torso. He was transported to Mercy Hospital.
The 27 year old man is facing 1st degree assault, armed criminal action and child endangerment charges. The investigation is ongoing.
