Freeman celebrates graduation of Resident physicians
It’s possible that Residents participating in Freeman’s Graduate Medical Education program could be permanent residents as healthcare providers in the Joplin area.
Freeman Health System celebrated the graduation of five physicians from its Graduate Medical Education program Friday night at the Billinglsy Student Center ballroom at Missouri Southern State University.
Dr. Robert McNab, Vice President of the Freeman Medical Education program, says the program helps provide doctors to the Joplin area.
“We know that where physicians do their training, they are most likely to practice,” he says. “This is the most effective retention program Freeman and Joplin have.”
Dr. McNab says Freeman has residency programs in Emergency Medicine, ENT (Otolaryngology) and Internal medicine. There are also Psychiatry and Pharmacy residents at Freeman.
The physicians graduating Friday night included Devron Osborne, D.O., and Timothy Noonan, D.O., Internal Medicine; Sheppard Peng, D.O. and and Caleb Masterson, D.O., Otolaryngology; and Kenneth Offutt, D.O., Emergency Medicine.
