State Revokes Former Trooper’s License Again
The state has once again revoked the license of a former trooper involved in the 2014 drowning of an Iowa man.
The Missouri Department of Public Safety has revoked Anthony Piercy’s peace officer license again – preventing him from being hired by any law enforcement agency in the state.
Last month, Cole County Circuit Judge Daniel Green reversed the department’s decision to revoke Piercy’s license and kicked proceedings back to the department. Green said former Public Safety Director Drew Juden did not provide findings of fact and conclusions of law.
Piercy was driving 20-year-old Brandon Ellingson by boat on the Lake of the Ozarks when Ellingson fell overboard and slipped out of an unsecured life jacket.
