Democrats Want A Pay Raise

While the U.S is trillions of dollars in debt, but Congressional Democrats are trying to give themselves a raise.

They’re scheduled to vote on a $1 trillion spending package next week that leaves out a 2010 provision that prevented lawmakers from receiving an annual cost-of-living increase to the $174,000 base salary for rank-and-file lawmakers.

The bill is likely to be blocked by the Republican controlled Senate.
