Schifferdecker Pool Closed This Weekend For Swim Meet

Sorry kids- you won’t be swimming at Schifferdecker this weekend. The pool is closed for a private swim meet, but Cunningham and Ewert are both open all weekend.

Schifferdecker Aquatic Center will be closed to the public Friday, June 7 through
Sunday, June 9 for the Berzerker Swim Team’s annual meet.

Due to the closure, the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department will be temporarily changing the operating
schedule of Cunningham and Ewert Aquatic Centers to accommodate patrons.

Cunningham Aquatic Center, located at 24 th & Maiden Lane, will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 7, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 9. Admission is $4 for visitors age 15 years old and under and $5 for visitors 16 years old and over.

Ewert Aquatic Center, located at 7 th & Murphy Boulevard, will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is $3 for visitors 15 years old and under and $4 for visitors age 16 years old and over.

There is no charge for children age two and under at any of the pools, when accompanied by an adult.
The 2019 operating hours will resume Monday, June 10.
