A contain and call-out in north Joplin

Newton County advised they had felony charges against a male and a female following an assault that involved the discharge of a handgun during the incident.

Last night a Joplin officer located the suspect vehicle in front of 506 N. Byers.

Officers responded and set up a perimeter around the house.

A contain and call-out was attempted and the male and female exited a short time later and were taken into custody without incident.

The suspects have been identified as 25-year-old Marvin Ward and 19-year-old Madelyn Pace.
