Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour June 1

The Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour kicks off at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 1.

The starting point is at the Leggett & Platt Corporate Headquarters, #1 Leggett Road, Carthage.

There are rides of varying lengths, ranging from 15 to 100 miles, and one of 66 miles, of course.

Shorter rides stick to Missouri, but longer rides get into Kansas and Oklahoma. The cost ranges from $30 for the 15-mile ride up to $45 for the century ride.

This is an important fund raiser for the Joplin Trails Coalition.
