The employees at Party City certainly don’t have anything to celebrate today.
The New Jersey based party store chain announced Friday that they’ll be closing 45 stores this year.
CEO James Harrison blames the closings on a helium shortage. He this will also allow them “focus on the most profitable locations.”
There are currently 870 Party City stores in the U.S. and Canada.
No word yet if the Joplin store will be affected.
