A Miami Police officer totaled his patrol car early Friday morning (5/10) during a high speed chase just after 1:30 a.m.
Officer Jacob Hamblett chased the suspect from Oklahoma before wrecking at Highway 43 and Kentucky in Newton County. Hamblett’s patrol car became airborne after hitting the ditch when he missed a sharp curve. It’s been reported that the chase exceeded more than 100 mph.
