Tornadoes Touch Down In Southwest Missouri
Tornadoes broke out all over the Four States Tuesday night, reportedly touching down in Wheaton, Miller, Rocky Comfort, Stella, Purdy, Monett, and Ozark. Emergency management officials are out surverying damage today. No reported deaths or injuries at this time.
Flash floods were also reported all around the Four States, and flooding could still be an issue today, especially for those in Tiff City near the Elk River, Shoal Creek in Joplin, and the those in Carthage, Waco, and Baxter Springs along the Spring River.
A flash flood warning remains in effect until 7:00 a.m Thursday morning.
Do not drive through flood waters. Turn around and use an alternate route. Just a couple of inches of standing water can float your vehicle off of the road, and flash floods could have washed the road away.
