The Joplin Police Department is keeping drugs off of our streets
The Joplin Police department is always working to keep drugs off of our streets. In less than 24-hours, JPD officers had 297 calls and made 4 separate drugs busts.
At 8:20 at 18th and Missouri, a male was arrested with 3 baggies of meth.
Around 11:52pm at Main and Murphy Blvd., 2 people were arrested for possession meth and marijuana. Also, a passenger lied about her identity and was arrested for felony theft warrants out of Arkansas, and warrants out of Carthage and Joplin
At 12:47am, near 36th and Range Line, 2 people were arrested. They had 4 warrants and they were in possession of meth.
Finally at 2:32am, on 4th and Range Line, an officer stopped a stolen car from Kansas. The driver was arrested for car theft and he was in possession of Heroin.
In total, 6 people were arrested in the fight to combat drug related crimes. Crimes that go along with the drug epidemic in our community is a never ending job for our law enforcement officers.
