Nice weather signals a time to garden

With cold weather behind us many 4-staters are heading outside to plant. News Talk KZRG spoke with one of the owners from Henkle’s Ace Hardware in Webb City to get some gardening tips.

John says the threat of a freeze is gone, so now is a great time to plant. Whether it’s flowers or vegetables, grass or herbs, make sure you have plenty of time and find out from an expert what and  how to be successful. Know when and how much to water and when to stop nitrates to encourage proper growth. But most of all, John says that if you’re just starting out, plant what you want,

“I always think grow what you like to eat. If you really like cherry tomatoes, grow a cherry tomato. If you like cucumbers, do a cucumber or just something that you’ll enjoy eating.”
