MO American Water Rolling Out New Notification System
Missouri American Water needs you to update your contact info, and let them know how you’d like to be contacted in case of an emergency like a boil order, or a planned outage or even construction in your area. With the new “Code Red” system, you can have those messages sent via text, phone call, or email.
“This is a very effective way to inform our customers of not only emergency situations,
but of planned outages due to water system upgrades,” said Christie Barnhart, external
affairs manager. “However our customers have to have current contact information on
file and have to sign up for the notifications.” Our goal is to make sure all customers are
aware this is available, and to have as many sign up as possible.”
Enroll and update your contact information by logging on to the web self-service portal, called “My Account,” at www.amwater.com/my account. There are three steps to enrolling in the CODE RED Notification System. Customers can also enroll by phone by calling 866-430-0820.
