Baxter Springs Drug Bust

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department is cracking down on drug activity in their community. Just this morning (4/18), the department in conjunction with the Baxter Springs Police Department executed a search warrant in the 500 block East 18th Street in Baxter Springs.

The homeowner, 44-year-old Ira Perryman was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Another man also at the home, 49-year-old Jerry Joe Smith of Broken Arrow was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
