Missouri Fights Opioid Crisis With Lawsuit

Do you or a loved one struggle with an addiction to prescription painkillers? Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt is taking a cue from the Oklahoma play book, and wants to hear from you.

“Today, we’re launching a program to ask Missourians to share stories of the pain and suffering they’ve been caused by opiates so we can include those first-hand accounts in this legal battle.”

The accounts will be used in a 2017 lawsuit filed by the state against three pharmaceutical companies for alleged deceptive marketing practices in Schmitt’s newly launched “Real Opioid Pain” initiative
