Deputies investigating possible domestic disturbance in Joplin
Jasper County Deputies are investigating a possible domestic disturbance involving shots fired. Read the full press release below:
On Sunday, at approximately 6:00 PM, deputies were called to Freeman Hospital in regards to two patients, a husband and wife, both suffering from a gunshot wound.
Deputies made contact with a male and female patient, both 62 years of age, and determined that both had suffered mutual gunshot wounds from a domestic violence altercation that occurred at 7829 W. Emerald in Joplin.
Following the incident they drove to the hospital for treatment. The male was wounded in the abdomen area, and the female was wounded in her leg. Both from single gun shot wounds. Both are still at the hospital receiving treatment.
Neither wound is considered life threatening. The investigation continues.
