Pittsburg Gearing Up For Road Construction

Be on the lookout for road construction in Pittsburg.

Asphalt replacement work on West 5th and 6th Streets between North Georgia Street and North Walnut Street will continue over the next few months. Side streets could also be temporarily closed as the pavement operation moves through the intersections.

Concrete work on North Broadway between 21st and 29th Street will begin on Monday, April 15th. Some of the side streets will also be closed temporarily to traffic in preparation for the mill and overlay project.

You may want to use alternate routes as delays are inevitable. Even though traffic control will be in place to allow traffic to use all the streets in the area of construction, traffic will be slowed due to lane closures.
