Crawford County To Swear In New Sheriff Friday

Crawford County’s new sheriff will be sworn in Friday morning. Captain Danny Smith will be sworn in at the Crawford County Court House in Girard. He replaces Sheriff Dan Peak who retired on March 21st.

Smith has been with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for 24 years. His career began in the 911 center as a Communications Officer working his way through the ranks as Deputy Sheriff, Lieutenant and Captain.

Sheriff Smith will then swear in his deputies in the court room following his swearing in.
