Authorities have identified the Oklahoma man who died after he reportedly helped a woman to shore after her truck rolled into a river early Sunday morning. The Grand River Dam Authority had gotten a call about a vehicle that had rolled into the Neosho River at the Conner’s bridge boat ramp between Wyandotte and Miami. They say the man, later identified as 31-year-old Blake Austin Williams, of Fairland, jumped into the water to save a woman that was inside the vehicle. Williams was unable to make it out of the water and his body was located hours later. The woman, later identified as 27-year-old Josie Stovall, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She was later arrested on a DUI complaint. That investigation is ongoing.
