Joplin begins 2019 resurfacing program
The City’s resurfacing program for 2019 will begin next week. This will include asphalt overlay as well as micro-surfacing. As milling and paving operations along city roads begin April 1, the City encourages citizens to watch for postings in their neighborhoods.
If your street will be affected by the resurfacing, the contractor, Emery Sapp & Sons, will notify residents along city streets with informational door hangers on their front doors.
No parking signs will also be posted along both sides of the street, and at both ends of each block. These notifications should be completed within 48 hours prior to the work being started. It is important to ensure that vehicles are not parked on the posted streets until the paving work has been completed.
The City will also post notifications on its Facebook page and website, www.joplinmo.org.
