Wanted felon arrested in Pittsburg with stolen property, meth
A Pittsburg man was arrested after he was found in possession of a stolen vehicle and other items. Read the full press release below:
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019 officers of the Pittsburg Police Department were checking the area of 514 East Jefferson Street for a stolen vehicle from another jurisdiction. The vehicle was located behind the residence and officers observed the male suspect looking out from inside the residence. The male suspect also was known to have a No Bond Felony Warrant out of Barton County, Missouri and was classified as Armed and Dangerous.
After attempts to make contact with the male suspect were unsuccessful, the police department obtained a search warrant for the residence and the PPD Special Response Team was deployed. The male suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
The stolen vehicle out of Joplin Missouri was recovered as well as numerous other tools which were stolen out of Frontenac, Kansas.
The male suspect was identified as Richard Wayne McDonald, age 31, of Pittsburg. McDonald was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he was booked in on the out of state no bond warrant, as well as charges of Felony Possession of Stolen Property, Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property, Interference with LEO, Possession of methamphetamine, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
