3 people stabbed in Carthage
60-year-old Vincent Kimmel is in custody on allegations of 1st Degree assault.
Just before 10 o’clock Sunday night, Carthage Police received a call about a disturbance in the 800 block of West Chestnut.
When officers arrived, Kimmel was located near by with blood all over him. He was taken into custody without incident. In the meantime, dispatch had already received additional calls about three more people that had been stabbed. Two of the victims have been transported by Life Flight to Springfield hospitals and are currently in critical condition. The third victim was transported to a Joplin hospital in stable condition. The department is still investigating the incident but they state that all three victims were in the same residence and that the stabbing does not appear to have been a random act.
36-year-old Sloan Roberts, is in critical condition in a Springfield hospital. The other two victims, 32-year-old Whitney Dipley and 32-year-old Jarred Bruner, are in stable condition at this time.
