“Stop Human Trafficking” poster law taking effect
Starting Friday, certain businesses in the state of Missouri will be required by law to display a “Stop Human Trafficking” poster. Joplin Police Captain Trevor Duncan says that includes hotels, airports, emergency rooms and others. Duncan says once they educate those businesses who are required to display that poster, they will make compliance checks at those businesses at a later date. That poster contains resources to assist human trafficking victims including a toll-free hotline number.
