The Flower Box City Will ‘Bring Back The Bloom’

What began as a dream to bring a little color back to Downtown Neosho has grown into a community-wide initiative to “Bring Back the Bloom”. The Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that they’ve began a journey to revitalize the Flower Box City.

K & S Wire is donating more than 65 flower baskets to go on the Downtown area lamp posts. From there support just began coming in daily from area businesses that wanted to be a part of the “Bringing Back the Bloom” initiative. The Neosho FFA has been awarded a grant to help provide plants, planting services, and educational pieces on how to care for flowers. Adult & Teen Challenge will provide the maintenance and daily care of the flower baskets. And several other businesses have reached out to say they are planning their own fundraiser to help contribute to the cost of the flowers and maintenance plan.

The City of Neosho also has plans to refurbish the World’s Largest Flowerbox, replant the flowers and to redo the displayed signage.
