Man will stand trial for fatal Newton County crash
A Nixa man has been ordered to stand trial after he was involved in a crash that killed two people in Newton County.
On June 9th, 20-year-old Victor Alanis was traveling on Highway 60, four miles east of Granby, when he attempted to make a left turn onto Route M, in front of a motorcycle that was driving west. 43-year-old Kelly Utter of Monett, and 49-year-old Robin Henson of Exeter were pronounced dead at the scene.
He faces several charges including driving while in a drugged condition resulting in the death of two people, failure to yield, driving while suspended, failure to provide proof of insurance, possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He’ll be in court April 8th.
