Work Begins On Shoal Creek Bridges Over I-44
Road work has began to rehabilitate both bridges over Shoal Creek near Mile Marker 6 on I-44. You can expect delays and lane closings. MoDOT crews will remove the bridge deck and replace it, beginning with the westbound bridge. This week crews will be setting up work zone signs, bringing in equipment and complete the prep work to being tearing down the bridge. The week of March 18, crews will close one westbound lane of I-44. The other lane will remain open at all times. Once both lanes of the westbound bridge are completed, crews will move to the eastbound bridge, likely sometime in mid- to late July. The $3.5 million project has a completion date of mid-December.
