Ameren To Add Thousands Of Jobs
Ameren Missouri says it’s doing 2,000 electric upgrade projects over the next five years throughout the state, which will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe says the projects will be major economic development boost to the state.
“It’s like the number one, number two, and number three question from any company who wants to expand or build here. “What are the rates?’ And we’re very competitive there. And ‘How reliable is the energy?'”
Ameren is investing $5.3 billion, which includes the cost of 12,000 new utility poles, more than 400 miles of underground cable and one billion dollars for wind energy projects in 2020.
