Winter Weather Advisory Across The Four States
We’re under a winter weather advisory until 9 o’clock tonight across the Four States. A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is falling across the area and will continue for the rest of the day before
switching to freezing drizzle this evening.
KZRG Chief Meteorologist John Wetherbee says total snow and sleet accumulations will range from a dusting near the Arkansas border, to 2 to 4 inches over central Missouri. Ice accumulations will range from a glaze, up to two tenths of an inch along the Arkansas border. Heaviest accumulations will occur from late morning into the afternoon hours.
Plan on slippery road conditions throughout the day. MODOT and KDOT are already reporting locations with snow and ice covered roadways, causing travel difficulties. Use extreme caution, and expect slippery roads and limited visibilities.
