Baxter man wanted for attempted murder

Police in southeast Kansas continue to look for a second suspect in connection with an assault in Baxter Springs on February 6th. The victim, Eric Ashley, was treated for injuries to his head from a blunt object and released. One suspect, Charles Applegate, was taken into custody for outstanding warrants. Baxter Police Chief Bill Adams says authorities continue to look for 36-year-old Samuel Reffett.

Reffett is wanted on attempted 2nd Degree Murder charges. Reffett is described as 6’0, 145 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes.
