ODET Serves Five Warrants in Two Days
Over the span of just two days, 5 search warrants were served, 5 people were arrested and meth, pills and guns are now off of our streets thanks to the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team and other local Law Enforcement agencies.
On Tuesday, two warrants were served. The homes were in the 500 block of Mineral and the 1400 block of East Hill, both in Joplin. At the home on Mineral, Joplin Swat along with ODET arrested 32-year-old Brandon Falls. The team found Oxy, Fentanyl, Xanax and a loaded syringe, along with a rifle in the same room as the drugs. Dakota Wald was also arrested at the home for possession of drug paraphernalia. No arrests were made at the home on East hill. Both investigations are ongoing.
Yesterday, the team served 3 search warrants, One in Carthage and two more in Joplin. The first of the three was at an address in the 1300 block of West Budlong in Carthage. The team along with Jasper County SWAT found Meth and paraphernalia. They arrested Juan Carlos Brache-Mercado for delivery of a controlled substance. Then in Joplin ODET was first at 20th and Porter and found 11.5 grams of meth, 14 LSD tabs and 2 grams of cocaine. 35-year-old Dustin Holland was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance. Other charges are pending. Finally, at the 500 block of B Street 35-year-old James Wimberly was caught with 11.3 grams of methamphetamine.
All these investigations are ongoing and charges are still being filed with prosecutor’s offices.
