Tyson Recalls Chicken Nuggets
Tyson Foods, Inc., is recalling about 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets that were manufactured in Sedalia, MO that might be contaminated with rubber, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The recall covers 5-pound plastic packages of Tyson White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets that were produced Nov. 26, 2018 and have a “best if used by” date of “Nov. 26, 2019.
The problem was discovered after people who bought the nuggets complained — not because the chicken tasted like rubber, but because they actually found pieces of rubber in them.
If you have a package of the nuggets in the freezer, throw them out or return it to the store where they were purchased.
According to the USDA, no one has been sick or injured from eating the nuggets, but if you’re concerned you should contact your doctor.
