Pittsburg Schools Were On Lockdown
Pittsburg Community Schools were on brief lockdown this morning for a short period of time. Superintendent Rich Proffitt tells News Talk KZRG a student reported a “threat”. During the lockdown, students were not allowed in or out of the building without being escorted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
All of PIttsburg’s schools have been deemed safe by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. Proffitt thanked PIttsburg Police, Crawford County and the KBI’s swift action in assessing and containing the situation to keep students safe.
News Talk KZRG is in contact with the school and law enforcement for more information on the situation.
