Search warrant turns up meth, gun, stolen ATV, dead bald eagle
65-year-old James Kivett of Anderson was arrested after authorities found meth, a gun, a stolen ATV, stolen trailer and a dead bald eagle after serving a search warrant Tuesday.

On 01/15/2019, the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team, the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office and Anderson Police Department served 2 search warrants simultaneously on Grandview Street in Anderson, Missouri.
During the search approximately 58 grams of methamphetamines were located inside both houses. Also located was a firearm in one house along with a stolen 4 wheeler, stolen from Newton County, Missouri and a horse trailer stolen from Franklin County, Missouri.
Also located inside one of the houses was a dead bald eagle. Missouri Conservation Agent S. Strader was contacted and he responded to the house and took possession of the eagle.
James Kivett was arrested on warrants out of Newton County, Missouri and charges are pending for items located at his house. The suspect at the other house was not home at the time and charges will be sought against him also.
