Colyer, Kobach Considering Run For U.S Senate
Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer may being leaving office for now, but he is toying with the idea of another political run- this time for the U.S. Senate seat that’ll be vacated by the retiring Republican Pat Roberts in 2020. It could be a tough primary for Colyer as Attorney General Derek Schmidt, American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp, and departing Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach are also considering the race. Roberts has been serving the Senate since 1996.
