Armed Robbery Suspect On The Loose In McDonald County
UPDATE: Crumb is in custody.
McDonald County Sheriff Mike Hall happened to be in the right place at the right time to take one person into custody that was involved in a pursuit in Newton County early this morning. Just after 4 a.m deputies pursued two people into McDonald County after the car they were driving was believed to be involved in an armed robbery in Joplin on December 19th. They lost sight of the car, which was later found abandoned. Hall tells News Talk KZRG he then spotted two people walking up to a house near Bethpage around 8 a.m.
“As I approached them to see what was going on to see if it was the two that were in the vehicle, the male subject took off running and I was able to take the female into custody.”
The driver, Dakota Crumb of Joplin ran into the woods north of Bethpage and Longview, and is still at large. He’s described as a slender, white male in his late 20s or early 30s with some facial hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and a blue jeans and could be armed. If you see him, call 911.
