Woman hit and killed by train in Joplin

A Joplin woman was hit and killed by a train in Joplin late Friday night. Read the full press release below:

On December 21, 2018 at 11:31pm the Joplin Police Department responded to the area of 15th and Michigan for a train vs pedestrian fatality.

A southbound train cleared the intersection crossing of 15th and Indiana and encountered a female on the tracks approximately 200 feet south. The female was struck and killed by the train. Detectives responded to investigate the death.

This morning next of Kin was notified. The deceased is identified as Arielle S. Graddy-Ideker, 27, Joplin.
