A Wounded Suspect From Illinois May Be In Missouri
Police in Illinois are looking for a domestic abuse suspect who might be in Missouri, after he escaped arrest and was shot by officers.
Police have identified the man as 34-year-old Todd Lockhart. Alton, Illinois, police tried to arrest Lockhart early this (Friday) morning after a domestic disturbance call.
Lockhart was sitting in a car on the street when officers confronted him about the allegations, but as they attempted to arrest him, he resisted. When Alton Police tried to remove Lockhart from the car he drove off dragging several officers who were still partiality inside the car. That’s when officers shot the suspect.
Illinois State Police Lt. Mark Doiron tells News Talk KZRG, that Lockhart later called a relative and told him he had been hit. Doiron also states that Lockhart “needs to get to a hospital and get help” and warns medical personnel to be on the lockout.
