Two arrested in fatal Thanksgiving shooting
A 17-year-old boy is under arrest in Tulsa County, Oklahoma on first-degree murder and second-degree burglary warrants after he allegedly shot the owner of a truck he is suspected of having tried to steal on Thanksgiving Day.
The sheriff’s office says the boy was arrested Tuesday in the death of Staijjeck Helm.
Bambi Ashley, 37, was arrested as an accessory after the fact.
No formal charges have filed against either suspect according to online court records.
The sheriff’s office says Helm was shot in the front yard of his home about 3 a.m. Thursday as he investigated why his truck’s alarm was sounding.
