Steve Smith’s career in radio goes back to the early 1980s.
He worked in news and announcing at KBLT, KODE, KFSB, KIX 94 FM and KMXL before moving into the field of public relations and marketing. He worked for 20 years as News Bureau manager and in digital web content at Missouri Southern State University.
Steve grew up in Carl Junction and graduated from MSSU and Pittsburg State University.
Some also may know him from his work in several local and regional musical groups.
Steve and his wife Robin are the parents of a grown son, Oliver. They live in Carthage, Mo.
