An Oklahoma judge has ruled that one of the brothers convicted of murdering five members of his Broken Arrow family will serve his five life sentences consecutively. 19-year-old Michael Bever was convicted this year of killing his parents and three siblings and trying to kill another sibling in 2015. A jury recommended that the sentences be served concurrently with the possibility of parole, plus 28 years for the attempted murder of his sister, but the judge disagreed and order the life terms to be served consecutively. Bever’s attorney says they plan to appeal the ruling.
