Teen Killed in Fatal Crash on Highway 69

A teenager was killed in a fatal crash involving three vehicles Wednesday morning just five miles south of Fort Scott. The Kansas Highway Patrol says around 9:40 a.m., 15-year-old Hunter Kovacic of Stark was northbound on Highway 69 in his pickup truck when he crossed the center line and sideswiped another truck driven by 57-year-old Anthony Alexander of Parkville, before colliding head-on with a semi driven by 40-year-old Billy Rabbit of Pryor, Oklahoma. Kovacic was pronounced dead a short time later. Authorities say Alexander was not injured, and Rabbit was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
