The body of the man who was found by MODOT mowing crews Tuesday morning has been identified as 48-year-old Thomas Bullock of Sedalia, Missouri. His vehicle was found abandoned at the 11.6 mile marker of 1-44 back on June 5th. He was reported missing to the Sedalia PD the next day. The autopsy found no signs of foul play.
The body of what is believed to be an adult male was discovered by MODOT crews just after 9:30 Tuesday morning. The unidentified body was found near the I-44/49 interchange. Joplin Police say the body was found on a hillside near the ramp underneath 249 that leads to southbound I-49. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is also assisting with the investigation.
