“We don’t have a positive identification at this time, we do have some pretty good leads as far as who it might be.”
There’s lots of leads, but still no positive ID on the man whose body was found along side the interstate near Flying J in Joplin Tuesday morning. The man was discovered by MODOT crews while they were mowing. Captain Trevor Duncan tells News Talk KZRG why it’s been so difficult to identify the man.
“The body had been there for a good amount of time. Due to the weather, there were some issues with decomposition and things like that. We’re early in the investigation, so we kind of have more questions than answers.”
Duncan could not elaborate any further. The autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning. News Talk KZRG will continue to be in contact with Joplin Police for the very latest updates.
