A woman from McCune, Kansas was arrested on several counts of arson after a nearly three year investigation. Just after 9:30 p.m., Monday night, 46-year-old Sherry Kerby was arrested on one count of arson of a dwelling. Authorities later added an additional five counts of arson of a dwelling and one count of aggravated arson of an occupied dwelling to her charges. She was taken to the Crawford County Jail on a $350,000 bond.
Investigations by the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office found the intentional burning of 13 structures in McCune from September 2015 to July 2018.
