Detours will be set up Tuesday night (4/17) and Wednesday night (4/18) on Interstate 44 in Joplin between the Main Street and Range Line exits. This is so construction crews can put up girders for the new Connecticut Avenue bridge. MoDOT’s Dave Mitchell tells News Talk KZRG why that work is done at night.
“Hopefully, the heaviest traffic during the day will have already passed.”
Starting at 9:30 Tuesday night, the westbound lanes of I-44 between the Main Street and Range Line exits will be closed until Wednesday morning. Then on Wednesday night, the eastbound lanes of I-44 will be closed between those two exits.
