The U.S House passed Right-to-Try legislation this week. This would allow terminally-ill patients to try experimental treatments not yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The future of this legislation now lies with the Senate. Congressman Billy Long tells News Talk KZRG he’s in favor of the legislation.
“We want them to be able to try anything, so we finally got that passed. Democrats voted against it, but we did get it through on a normal vote. That was one of the few good things that happened in Washington this week.”
If the bill passes the Senate, President Trump is expected to sign it.
